An open letter to the Body of Christ: November 3, 2008, 10:00 a.m.

As we consider the choices for our nation:

I have heard reports recently here in the United State of America, of Christians walking out of churches when they are confronted by God–fearing pastors who have  challenged their flocks to examine their hearts as specifically pertains to abortion and family values issues. Pastors who fear God have challenged their congregants  to vote only their bible conscience. Let there be no doubt, that the biblical requirement of Pastors as watchmen is to feed their sheep the pure Word of God and to warn them of consequences should they be lured to compromise, especially when the delusion to do so is skillfully marketed by the main stream media, popular politics, social pressures, and intellectual challenge. And the biblical requirement of men and women of God is to not compromise their faith in any way whatsoever when decisions of what to do conflict as to the right to life, family values, or even the First Commandment edict to “Love the Lord thy God”.  God does not release any of us from the responsibility to live our faith as Christians because of circumstances or opportunity, and this includes how we vote our faith. The only colors that The Spirit of God differentiates is a soul stained dark by sin, or washed clean by the blood of Jesus. Our God is an awesome God, and He is to be feared. He is the ultimate, radical force of change in the lives of men and women, nations and systems, and He has made known to us that the mystery of His will is to reconcile all things unto Himself (Ephesians 1:9-10). The process for true, abundant, satisfying, eternal change is not governed by man, but is governed by the Power of God. And this power is cause to change from Glory unto Glory. If the change one seeks does not glorify God, then this change is not in the will of God !

What we are witnessing in these last days of the political process of this current election in America, and even more so in the last days of this present world system here on earth; is a pre cursor to the pending eternal judgment awaiting believers as prophesied by Christ Himself on His way to the cross, as recorded in Mathew 25: 31-46.

(31) When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: (32) And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats: (40) And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me. (41) Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, and enter into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.

Children of God, can any mind that is honest reason that there is any creature of God that is less privileged, more vulnerable, more dependent upon the mercy and security of another person to live, than the UNBORN CHILD ?  Scripture is clear that God knows the child before he or she is in the womb, and that the fruit of the womb is blessed, a gift of life, a real living spirit that is entrusted to the mother’s safe house to nurture until the time of the child’s’ breaching ?  And Americans have the democratic means and privilege, the right, the opportunity to enforce laws in our society to protect these innocent, vulnerable, gifts of God – these precious living creatures made in the image of the Creator. Oh hear and heed those fateful words of Christ to be pronounced on so many goats who think they are sheep, not long from now:

(45) Verily I say unto you, In as much as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me. “

Children of God, it is important that you be informed so that you are not deceived to think that you can rationalize the justice of God. You cannot trade off the genocide of one injustice of greater than holocaust proportions (abortion which has claimed 50 million lives since 1973), in a righteous indignation to correct the torment of another terrible injustice of servitude and slavery. You cannot offer the need for change in a world system that perverts the constants of the Kingdom of God. You cannot on one hand say that you love God, when instead you choose to put the wants and desires of self above the laws of the Kingdom of God.

I have warned for quite some time that the greatest curse on the Nation of the United States that threatens its’ core standing before God and the world, is not primarily attributed to the economy, to health care, to social reform issues, to education, to class warfare or racial tensions, or to energy. Nor is it about the war in Iraq or the resolution of Afghanistan or the other conflicts that are certain to arise.  It is about our validation of the killing of unborn children as a nation that was founded under God, but as of recent years has discarded these founding principles. This is central and core to the measure by which this country shall receive grace and mercy to deal with all of the other issues at hand.

The only way for a Christian to escape this reasoning is to fall prey to the excuse of worldly apologetics that vainly hides behind some assumption that to be unborn is not really a living soul. Any Christian that says they do not know, or that they are confused, will have only a vain excuse if left un repented when held accountable  before the Judgment Throne of God. And those pastors who compromise themselves and in so doing mislead their flocks, will be held to an even greater (or in this case more punitive) standard as the blood of many is upon their hands.  The first account of sin made known to us in the Bible, could not be hidden from the eyes of the Lord. Man inherently when yielding to the fleshly desires of self, tries to cover his or her sins by pleading ignorance, confusion, or to place responsibility on someone else for leading us into a place of rebellion against what we know is the truth of God. We cannot cover our sins by closing the curtain of a voting booth with the reason that a “greater good is being served”.  The age old fallacy of reasoning that if you see no evil, there is no evil, will not have credence in the Highest Court, the Throne room of the King. The knowledge of truth is not beyond our reasoning, and it is within our faith. Pontius Pilate tried to excuse Himself from the curse of judgment by asking the Savior “ What is truth”, even as he was looking into the very eyes of the Spirit of Truth. Can anyone who is bible believing and God fearing, who accepts that their redemption is purchased by the blood of the Lamb of God who takes away our sins, vainly hide behind the claim that this knowledge is “above their pay grade” ?  We who fear God know that the cost for atonement, for eternal life, the pay grade if you will, is the blood of Jesus and His edict is vivid and sure. The precious blood of the Son of God is invaluable and cannot be measured by any other rationale.  For those of us who know Him, who are called by His name, who have applied His precious blood to our sin tainted souls; when we continue to willfully sin against God and discount the value of His blood, we are held to a more severe accountability and as such we shall be judged.

The Prophet Ezekiel, some 600 years before Christ, proclaimed a very stern warning to Pastors and believers alike, that was surely referred to by Christ in His discourse. His name means “God strengthens”. His ministry was a testimony of personal difficulties, and the word of Ezekiel cries out to us today even as the pending testings can best be understand as “iron sharpening iron”.  Ezekiel in chapter 34 vividly paints the picture of the present status and character of the Church in our times. And judgment is now kindled in the House of God and the fire is about to erupt into a blaze of refining holiness. And the Church will be sanctified, separating between sheep and goats, even as Ezekiel proclaimed:

(vs.17) And as for you, O my flock, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats.  (vs. 20) “Therefore, thus sayeth the Lord God unto them: Behold I, even I, will judge, between the fat cattle and between the lean cattle. (22) Therefore, will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey: and I will judge between cattle and cattle”.

And there are pastors today, who have been blinded to the color of the pure blood of Jesus in order to “open” their eyes to their own agendas, always traced to the same source of ambition and promotion, and now in recent months painted as the self portrait color of change. The Prophet Ezekiel was very clear as to the sanctions on these pastors by the Great Shepherd even as He is demanding, now in these last days, that His sheep be fed the proper, good, fresh food of the Spirit, not the residue of the pastures trodden under by the greedy taking of ambitious men and women of God. These are renegade pastors portrayed in these scriptures, who propagate there own agendas and well being with lack of sensitivity and responsibility to the compassion of Christ. The Spirit of God is crying out to these privileged pastors to feed the sheep, rather than to devour them for their own purposes.

Have you considered that If there are believers willing to compromise for a simple, secret ballot vote cast in the security of privacy (most polling pundits tell us because of their greater concern for economy and change), what will they do when it is time, not long from now, to accept or reject a number molded into their spirits in order to buy and sell, a decision that will need to be publicly discerned ? This is as the principle of the army of Gideon testing, even as the apostate church and the Holy church are being defined. The Church of Laodicea (Rev. 3: 14-22) is now manifesting vividly. Clearly we can attest that the present day Church that comprises the Body of Christ, contains elements that are hot, some that are cold, and quite too many that are lukewarm. As we are in expectant preparations for the return of the Lord, we discover that within this grouping now exists the foundations for both the Bride of Christ and the apostate church. And we who fear God and pray for His power to strengthen us to be “hot” and not to compromise, may soon be branded by the lukewarm and cold Christian majority along with a rebellious world to be no different that “divisive” terrorists. How many times have you heard the word “divisive” used in this presidential campaign? The social conscience antidote to “divisiveness” is to join the ranks of tolerant compromise. Child of God, it just might be that a Gideon’s army emerges from the rubble of change, reduced from the broader spectrum of Christian tele-sensationalized main stream popularism. And when these “hot” Christian’s emerge who are scorned for being too bible believing and too God Fearing, it is my prayer that you and I are counted in these ranks. It is bewildering to consider that God fearing Christians are deemed not worthy of tolerance, and as such are branded as divisive, even ironically so, by the force of compromising humanistic ideology that regards its own test of character as tolerance.

Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, we must look up, and bow down, while we run the enduring race of patience and faith, even while humbling ourselves to release the power of prayer. There is a spirit of delusion and false peace that is intoxicating the earth, not birthing out of Zion as the pure Word does, but birthing out of the weariness of America and the wantonness of a worldly spirit.  Subjective freedom to be whatever is deemed good by consensus, has perverted the biblical precept of liberty in Christ.

In 40 hours or less, the true and pure Body of Christ in America and other parts of the world, shall either praise God for the victory of righteousness that cries out for the eradication of abortion in our country, that determines to uphold family values and structure, and that moves to re establish God as the security and shelter for this country; or we shall lament the ominous battle of the future that threatens to cast us deeper into the abyss of godlessness.  Beloved, it is quite possible that the consequence of judgment on America that has been restrained by Grace, will be released by this election, or at least the results that it manifests, good or bad, not long from now. Not just because of the actual political reality of what is voted, but because of the examination of the heart of Christian voters and the consensus voice of the people of this nation, as discerned in the infinite wisdom of Almighty God. Regardless of the specific outcome of this election, our God is seated on His Throne of authority which is not measured by man, and He shall not be moved ! Now is coming the time for the testing and the patience of the Saints. As we pray for His clear voice and direction in our lives,  may we ask our Father in Heaven to continue to extend His grace and mercy on America. Let us be relentless in praying for the new President, the Vice-President, the Legislators, and the Supreme Court Justices. We all agree we need to change, the point of disagreement is what this change embodies. And May we embrace that our God is truly purposed to minister in reconciliation, yes on Godly principles, but never the less with compassion , forgiveness, and understanding.  May God help us all.
